Once an ALiEn2 controller is installed in the field and hooked up to the solar panel through the charger built into the controller, it will be automatically maintained. If however spare batteries or controllers with batteries are stored for more than a few months, the batteries should be charged periodically.
Top up your batteries every 6 months to preserve their full life.
Prior to sending out batteries, check to see if they are low.
