How do I change the Modbus communication settings on Sasquatch?

When changing communication settings be sure to record the new values as once they are applied, you will loose communication with Sasquatch. You will have to change the connection settings in Vision to match the new settings to restore communications.

If the communication settings for Sasquatch are ever lost/unknown, reloading the firmware using Vision will restore communication settings to factory defaults.

What you Need

Before starting, you should make sure you have:

  6. Click “Read All” to load the current settings from Sasquatch. Modify any of the desired settings by selecting items from the drop down list. Once complete click on “Write All” to save the settings back to Sasquatch.

Changes to the communications settings will not take effect until Sasquatch is power cycled.

Remember to update the “Setup” tab and make changes to the baud rate to match any changed settings.

Changes to the “Modbus Slave Address” require the “Station Address” dropdown at the lower left of the SCADA tab to be updated to match the new slave address.
